The show, billed as the unification of "around forty American and international exhibitors, artists, detailers, pastry chefs, master chocolate makers and writers," proved quite overrated. Mr. Laaker noted several sacrilegious uses of chocolate, including a grossly anatomically incorrect model of an eagle and a tattered chocolate beaded dress that appeared to have spent several decades in a musty trunk.<\/p>\n
Mr. Laaker and his date were then marauded by an overly large (seemingly due to chocolate consumption) booth attendant.
